General Introduction
This edition highlights "Why Young People Should Care About Agriculture". In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, agriculture goes beyond farming and food production. It becomes a powerful tool to address real-world challenges through innovation, sustainability, and community-centered approaches. From large-scale food systems and agricultural technology to youth-driven initiatives and rural development, agriculture demonstrates how ideas can evolve into impactful solutions. Through critical thinking, sustainable practices, and collaborative efforts, young people are able to transform challenges into opportunities that ensure food security and support global development.
Through presentations, case studies, and interactive discussions, this session invited participants to explore how agriculture touches every aspect of daily life — from what we eat to how we care for the environment. The session also emphasized the importance of innovation, adaptability, and cross-disciplinary thinking in shaping the next generation of agricultural leaders. Participants were encouraged to reflect on their own roles and consider how engagement with agriculture can contribute to solving global challenges, particularly within ASEAN contexts and beyond.
